What began as a small committee of concerned people grew over time to what it is today: a thriving, vibrant non-profit making a significant impact in our city, state, nation and world. In 2015, the committee known as "Sisters and Brothers Collaborating Against Human Trafficking", merged with a wonderful 501(c)3 organization called "Cedar Rapids Gives." At the beginning of 2016, many changes took place in the fight against Human Trafficking. Cedar Rapids Gives decided it needed a name change, a focus adaptation, changes in bylaws and to become officially faith-based. CRG dissolved and "Chains Interrupted" was born.
Who We Are
Chains Interrupted is a group of people who love Jesus and whose hearts have been broken for the things which break His. In particular, we fight against the heinous crime of Human Trafficking. Sobering statistics show, 98-99% of victims are NEVER RESCUED. Therefore, we first and foremost attempt to prevent human trafficking from ever happening. We also dedicate ourselves to the rescue and restoration of those caught in its evil grip.
Human Trafficking is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world. We need our whole community to join in the fight against this heinous crime. Chains Interrupted focus on prevention, rescue and restoration. We have several specific projects we could use your help with!
