Support Us

Chains Interrupted is primarily private donor funded.  Every gift helps.  Every gift furthers the mission, no matter how big or small.  Monetary donations help support our mission through area youth outreach programs like our BRYX program, and continue providing programs and services to organizations in our communities. We welcome monetary donations, as well as donations generated through Elegant Repeats, Stuff Etc. Cedar Rapids and ReVibes in Ely.

Annually we take donations for our “Handbags of Hope” sale, where we sell gently used, high-brand purses from donors who want to help support our mission.

Of course, we recommend you consult your tax and financial advisor to see if any of these options would be beneficial for you.

Monetary Donations

Monetary donations to Chains Interrupted go a long way. With your donations, we support multiple programs and services including:

  • Our BRYX (Building Resilience in Youth against eXploitation): This program equips organizations working with youth to identify and assist those who have experienced the deep and complex trauma from human trafficking. The BRYX program includes implementing a screening tool (in development) in organizations serving high-risk youth and educating staff on how to serve this specific population of victimization.

  • Education initiatives: the General Public, Schools, Hotel/Motels, Real Estate  professionals, Medical Personnel, and Financial Institutions.

  • The UnChainEd Coalition: a community coalition that meets quarterly to offer networking, education, updates and opportunities to take action

  • Continued growth of our reach and access to other partner organizations to help assist trafficking survivors

  • **We work hard to keep our overhead expenses as minimal as possible so the majority of donations go directly to raise awareness, ultimately preventing victimization.

  • Many employers provide a matching donation. Please check with your organization when you donate!
